Accuracy of 3D Scanning

The accuracy depends on the technology used. We offer a range of accuracy levels:

• ±0.01 mm for object scanning
• ±1 mm for building and industrial plant scanning
• A few centimeters for drone mapping (note that some inaccuracy may occur during alignment).

Our extensive experience shows that deviations across the scan model are minimal and meet the requirements of most applications. By default, we include an accuracy report with your scan data.

Factors that influence accuracy include:

• Surface reflectivity
• Material texture
• Vibrations
• (Sun)light
• Temperature
• Dust
