A large and complex machine was virtually moved in 3D before the actual relocation was carried out.

Scans of the existing situation have been made and virtually moved to scans of the new situation so that a good picture has been created of the problems that could be expected. In addition, a simple 3D CAD machine model based on the scans helped with communication to all involved. This technique offers engineers the opportunity to perform “collision checks” and to test the fitting / connection of the machine in advance.
