Clash detection

The point cloud as a “digital fingerprint” of reality can be used as:

• Clash detection tool with a 3D CAD model of a new installation.
• Checking new construction by checking with the building plans / CAD model.

Prevention is better than cure! Identify “problems” in time and still correct them at the design stage. For example, we have experienced that there were 1500 ‘clashes’ in the customer design that luckily almost all of them could still be solved in the engineering phase. When checking (new) buildings, we come across strange things. Design and reality often differ. We have found several times that the building turned out to be smaller than indicated on the drawing (we have repeatedly encountered deviations of a meter or more). So checking is the motto! An as-built update of the drawings can then be made.
